Earlier in the day about 100 members of the National People's Action occupied a midtown building housing JP Morgan Chase. Later they joined allies and converged on City Hall Park at 4pm for a pre-march Rally.

At the rally we listened to speakers from PSC, AFL-CIO, UFT, NAACP, GOLES, and other community groups.

All calling for good safe jobs, punishment for predatory lenders, and relief for those losing their homes to foreclosures.

The Retail Action Project gets angry when workers are not respected.

Join a Breadline for the Unemployed, Underemployed
and Low-Wage Workers of our
Great City of New York!

In these tough economic times, we will revisit the breadline as a tool for subsidizing low wage employment that pervades our service economy.

Our Human Resource Department will be available to help you access your benefit of a free peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Rev. Billy and the Church of Life after Shopping will also be present to bless the line and those souls who need a raise or employment.
